Beautiful photography helps make beautiful websites. However, when most small businesses turn to managing their website, blog or social media, they often don’t have the budget for professional photography or expensive stock photography.
Below is a compilation of three of some of our favourite free resources for beautiful imagery
Pexels is a free stock photo and video website and app that helps designers, bloggers, and everyone who is looking for visuals to find great photos and videos that can be downloaded and used for free. If you see a photo or video you like, simply download it for free (no strings attached!).
Unsplash is a platform powered by an amazing community that has gifted hundreds of thousands of their own photos to fuel creativity around the world. So sign up for free, or don’t. Either way, you’ve got access to over a million photos under the Unsplash license—which makes them free to do-whatever-you-want with.
Coverr provides really good quality stock videos – perfect for backgrounds. Videos are free and Coverr aim to keep them that way.
“Not because we don’t believe that a good video deserves to be paid for, but because we know many businesses can’t afford these and there’s so much beautiful footage out there that will never be used unless shared with the public.”
Hopefully one of these three will have the imagery you’re looking for. Regardless of the availability of these tools though, we know how time consuming it can be.
