Hi there, I’m Claudia – the founder and web designer behind Super Simple Websites. If you have had Super Simple Websites work on a web design project before, then we’ve already met, but if not – lovely to meet you.
I started Super Simple Websites while at Strathclyde University in Glasgow studying Business Technology and Marketing. What originally started as a side-earner to top up part-time hospitality work, quickly began to grow. After graduating I decided to focus on the business and see where it could grow to.
I knew I was passionate about supporting small business, start ups and SME’s. It was my background after all, after growing up with a self-employed Mum. There seemed to be a common trend in web design where these kinds of businesses were treated simply as “portfolio builders” while agencies initially developed, before moving on to higher budget and larger-scale projects.
I wanted Super Simple to instead be a reliable one-stop-shop for sole traders, SME’s and start-ups. These clients are currently often left stuck between ineffective and time-consuming DIY websites, or feel priced out of larger agencies. What’s more, the industry is plagued with jargon and small business owners are often left overwhelmed trying to figure out what they need, all as they try to juggle starting up or running their own business.
Today, Super Simple offers simplified web design packages, all with fixed-fees available to see right on our website – there’s no scary invoice or escalating quote to worry about. Our most popular package – lovingly named “The Favourite” – offers everything you need to get a five-page website off the ground for just £299. All our websites are designed to grow with the client – new pages can easily be added in the future, and all clients have full access to make their own simple changes and updates.
What’s more, all the ongoing “running costs” of a website are bundled into one, affordable annual fee – £80 a year for most sites, £99 for ecommerce sites. This means there’s no worrying about what your site needs to keep running smoothly – its all taken care of for you.
On top of this – Super Simple’s expert social team can also take care of Facebook management, Instagram updates, blog posting and more from as little as £30 a week – allowing you to get on with running your business.
FSB Scotland Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2022
Delighted to announce that on 31st March 2022, I was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year by FSB Scotland, presented by Lisa Wardlaw from Young Enterprise Scotland, during the FSB Awards at Waldorf Astoria, Edinburgh. As all self-employed can no doubt relate to – running a business can be an incredibly rewarding yet daunting experience. Winning such a prestigious award is a huge reassurance that Super Simple is achieving what I set out – providing a quality and reliable service to our clients.
The FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards recognise and celebrate the huge contribution that smaller businesses and the self-employed make to the UK’s prosperity – the innovators, our economic drivers – the backbone of our communities.
Andy Aird, FSB’s Scotland Chair, said: “Our award winners really demonstrate the strength and depth in Scotland’s small business community.”
The small business campaign group had almost 400 entries to their awards from up and down Scotland. Nominees and entrants were recognised at a special event at the Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh.
